Craig started buying Real Estate when he was 13. He had inherited a small amount of money and his parents had just bought a rental property and he wanted in on that! He remembers vividly sitting in the back seat of the real estate agent's car, his mom in the front seat writing the offer on this condo. “It was night out, so we had to use the interior car lights, we could barely see to write, but the market was so hot that the agent suggested we write the offer then and there…my dad wasn't there, but my mom and I made the decision to buy it…I remember writing the check to my parents for the deposit.…I also remember how fast my heart was pounding with excitement.” He asked for copies of the contract and read it over and over while eating cereal, careful not to splatter milk on the copies. He read the contract everyday before school. “I think I had it memorized by the time we closed after the 45 day escrow. (45 days!)”

He loved helping his parents look for additional rental property and was involved in it as much as he could, preparing the properties for rent, re-sale and in between tenant clean ups! “I remember sitting in on tenant interviews and giving my thumbs up or down to my parents after the meetings. I can't tell you how many receipts I wrote for rent paid at my front door of my parents' house when tenants would stop by to pay their rent. I had the real estate bug bad. I couldn't wait to see a 'SOLD' sign on properties, taking mental note how long it had taken to sell.”

For 23 years he was a Landscape Contractor/Designer working out of Oakland as a paid profession. Craig continued his fascination with the real estate world and would often be asked by realtors if he was a realtor because he 'spoke the language'. Friends and family continued to ask why he wasn't practicing real estate as a profession. They would often ask him to come along with them to look at properties for themselves, (often being mistaken as their realtor) "I would be more excited than they about a property. I was also not afraid to tell them when the house was perfect or not perfect for them; I somehow knew before they did when a property was or was not for them!" I worked professionaly with commercial, industrial and residential properties and knew timing was everything and to recognize when matching needs/wants. Capital improvements on existing commercial properties was one of my fortés as well as landscape staging/ readiness for market on residential homes with several real estate agents in the east bay, the two finally merged together and Craig decided it was time to get paid for his years of experience in real estate.

He has volunteered in numerous non-profit organizations, San Francisco Food Bank, Heading Home Animal Rescue (he is a foster home for dogs and helped place 12 dogs in a year in their forever homes), American Cancer Society Gala Planning Committee, Gay 4 Good neighborhood clean ups, AIDS Walk - both as a walker and volunteer, UCSF Benioff Cancer Center fund raiser. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Admininstration and Economics, a minor in Finance and attended UC Berkeley Extension Landscape Architecture Program.

He was born and raised in the bay area, and has lived in San Francisco and Oakland since 1986.
